Ventura County Women Health Specialists is a comprehensive specialty group that proudly provides the women of Ventura County access to high quality, compassionate obstetrics and gynecology health care. From your very first prenatal visit to postmenopausal gynecologic care, we are dedicated to meeting all your health care needs at different stages in your lives. For over 40 years, our group has embraced a commitment to our patients to provide the highest quality women’s care in warm and safe environments so that you can feel confident and supported.

Ventura County Medical Center

Ventura County Medical Center opened the doors to its new hospital at the end of 2017. Our state of the art labor and delivery unit is designed to provide comprehensive compassionate care for women with low and high-risk pregnancies. Our high risk obstetrics specialists are available 24 hours a day if your pregnancy becomes complicated. VCMC hospital has consistently achieved the prestigious baby friendly designation for their commitment to supporting breast-feeding. VCMC hospital boasts the lowest cesarean section rate in Ventura County and provides back-up hospital services for those midwifery care. We offer the option of vaginal birth after prior cesarean section (TOLAC/VBAC). 

VCMC has the only pediatric hospital in Ventura County and houses the county’s first and only pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Our hospital also has an award-winning level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). We have the privilege of working with VCMC Family Residents - a residency that is affiliated with USC and has been consistently voted one of the top family medicine residency program in the United States.
